We have created this information hub to support examination candidates, trainees, trainers and consultants who need to maintain and record their continuing professional development. Below you will find links to the latest guidance, advice and resources in the areas of MRCP(UK) examinations, training and CPD. We will continue to update and develop these pages to support you as the situation develops.
ARCP guidance
In the present ARCP process it should be emphasised that outcomes which have been described in Gold Guide 8th edition (GG8) should be used. It is important that ARCP panels make a holistic judgement on trainee progression using the GMC-approved COVID-19 decision aids. If a trainee has met these amended requirements they should be issued an outcome 1 or an outcome 6 if they are at the end of that phase of training. An outcome 10.1 or 10.2 should only be awarded when a trainee is achieving progress and the development of competences/capabilities at the expected rate but the acquisition of some capabilities (eg mandatory courses, professional examinations) has been delayed by the impact of COVID-19.
