Introduction to the ePortfolio
All trainees on Core Training (CT) and Acute Care Common Stem (ACCS) programmes use the JRCPTB ePortfolio. Specialty trainees (ST3+) can also now access the ePortfolio and has been developed to include all specialty specific curricula and assessments.
This web-based portfolio provides a record of progress through training and the acquisition of competencies, based on the relevant curricula. The ePortfolio includes facilities for direct recording of workplace based assessments, records of appraisal, Educational Supervisor reports and ARCP outcomes.
It is primarily the trainee’s responsibility to enter information into the JRCPTB ePortfolio but supervisors also have access to shared parts of the portfolio and have a responsibility to record appraisal outcomes and sign off the record of competence.
For 2009/10, access to the JRCPTB ePortfolio is being provided by deaneries and postgraduate education centres and the JRCPTB is supporting deaneries in this process.

ePortfolio Version 2 Update
The January 2009 eportfolio update is now available. Click here for more
The Generic, GIM Level 1 and GIM Level 2 Curricula have been uploaded to the ePortfolio- see October 2008 update
The upload of the above curricula to Version 2 of the ePortfolio has now been completed. Linking the assessments to the curricula will follow this upload. In the meantime, the best advice is to note the relevant competencies within the assessment form itself so these can be linked more easily at a later date.
