Annual Specialty Report
The Annual Specialty Report provides the General Medical Council with an overview of medical specialty education and training from the perspective of the Medical Royal Colleges and Faculties who represent the profession and have a key role in managing and improving the quality of specialty training for doctors.
The ASR feeds into the GMC’s quality assurance processes with concerns raised in the ASR informing regional views, check visits, small specialty reviews and the GMC’s enhanced monitoring processes. Reports are submitted to the GMC at the end of March each year. Our most recent submission can be seen below.
