MRCP(UK)
The place of the MRCP (UK) in training
The MRCP(UK) is the core knowledge based assessment component of specialist training and is mandatory for all trainees in the Physician disciplines. The full MRCP(UK) (Parts 1 and 2 written and PACES) must be successfully achieved by the end of ST3. The JRCPTB’s assessment blueprints submitted to PMETB, stipulate that a pass in MRCP(UK) Part 1 examination will be mandatory before exit from ST2/entry to ST3. These blueprints are conditionally approved at this stage and are expected to be confirmed shortly. Please see MRCP(UK) website for further information where candidate applications can be made directly online.
